What is on the menu?
Fries come first. Order them plain, with a classic sauce or with a hot topping such as rendang, babi ketjap, curry chicken or pepper beef. Japanese fish and chips is on the list too.
For a full meal there is nasi goreng, gado-gado, laksa, soto ayam, and chicken or pork tenderloin satay. Between meals you can pick spring rolls, crispy chicken and street food snacks. The kitchen makes its own sambals and pickles.
Vegetarians are covered, with vegetarian nasi goreng with scrambled egg, gado-gado and a home-made vegetarian noodle soup among the options.
What is the Bali Pie?
The Bali Pie is the shop's own creation: a savoury pie filled with pastei tutup, the Indo-Dutch oven dish. Next to it on the menu is the Babi Ketjap Pie, which Bali Frietbutik describes as a mix of New Zealand and Bali.
